Contemporary societies tend to extinguish the ancestral knowledge. Not being compatible with a fast technological and cultural changes, which rhythms and different procedures induces its extinction or “musealization”. In Jingdezhen, masters, manufacturing techniques and local materials are disappearing quickly. To a problem without solution, I decided to try a new materialfelt markers. Usually used to mark production defects after firing, these markers are now being used as a new painting technique Imperial Marker features a surprising effect, similar to an original blue cobalt glazed from Imperial China.

After visiting the city several times, to choose a local building to work with, it seemed obvious to me to play with an architecture detail of the Axa Stadium, from Sporting Braga football club and one of the most emblematic buildings drawn by Portuguese architect Eduardo Souto de Moura (2011 Pritzker Prize).

Meanwhile, another operation gained widespread attention – the legendary Little Vittles operation. Before landing, pilots had noticed hundreds of German children gathered together at the end of the runway watching the aircraft landings. By the end of the airlift, 23 tons of candy parachutes were dropped around Berlin Tempelhof Airport. Tempelhof lamp is the second site-specific object and was extract from a architecture detail from the airport main entrance building facade.
